The transfer window saw a slew of signings arrive Nottingham Forest with coach SabriLamouchi tasked with returning the club to the Premier League. Forest fans have dreamt of the lure of the Premier League and this could be the year.
CostelPantilimon and Jordan Smith have found themselves out of the reckoning despite keeping 15 clean sheets last season. New signings Brice Samba and ArijanetMuric are expected to battle for the number one pot.
Samba started in the match against Fleetwood on Wednesday but Muric looks the likely bet for the number one position.
Muric is on loan from Premier League Champions and comes with a sterling reputation having played in the Cup competitions for the English side last season. He would be expected to bring stability and authority to the defence.
The defence is where there could be competitions for places new signing Carl Jenkinson looks like the ideal signing and had a solid debut for the club. Matty Cash is a decent backup but is better in the midfield.
Yuri Ribeiro has been impressive in the left-back role however it is difficult to see him benching last season regular Jack Robinson. Robinson is the sort of player that gives you 7/10 every game and is likely to be Lamouchi’s choice in the role.
The centredefence has seen Lamouchi go by the experienced pairing of Joe Waroll and Michael Dawson. Dawson is a player with plenty of experience and quality which has been evident in the first three games.
His partnership with Worrall appears to be the perfect blend of experience and youth. We expect Lamouchi to stick with the duo.
